Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to announce Scott F. Griffith and Valerie Kellner have been elected partners in 2011.
Scott F. Griffith concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental, toxic and mass torts, products liability, professional liability, and white collar criminal defense.
A seasoned trial attorney, Scott has tried numerous civil and criminal matters. He is one of three Rawle & Henderson attorneys on the national asbestos trial team of a friction brake manufacturer. Scott’s criminal trial experience includes the representation of current NBA and NFL players as well as entertainers and politicians. He has defended corporations and individuals charged by the government in a wide range of matters. He also counsels corporate management on white collar criminal matters.
Scott earned a B.A. in Literature from Hofstra University and a law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1993. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has been admitted pro hac vice in Delaware and West Virginia.

Valerie Kellner concentrates her practice in the areas of product liability, general liability and construction litigation.
Valerie received a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1994 and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Rutgers University School of Law in 1997. She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Valerie also serves as a Judge Pro Tem in Philadelphia County and she is a member of the Temple Inn of Court. She is the Chair-Elect of the Products, General Liability and Consumer Law Committee for TIPS (Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section) of the American Bar Association.

John C. McMeekin II was Co-Chair of the ABA TIPS International Law Committee and the American Board of Trial Advocates Understanding, Surviving and Prevailing in the United States Litigation Environment and Masters In Trial Program at Nihon University College of Law in Tokyo, Japan on November 18-19, 2010.
Mr. McMeekin’s presentation “Class Actions and Multi District Litigation in the United States” discussed class actions and the rules for multidistrict litigation. He also used case studies to review trends in consumer class actions and MDLs with a focus on the analysis of liability and effective defenses for dealing with mass tort litigation.
