NEW YORK SUPER LAWYER

CMV Partner Robert A. Fitch has been named a 2018 New York Metro Super Lawyer. Super Lawyers, a rating service of Thomson Reuters, selects attorneys each year for recognition through a rigorous nomination process that includes peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates. Only the top 5% of the lawyers in the New York metro area are chosen annually for this honor. Bob was also selected as a Super Lawyer in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He is the resident partner in our New York City office and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Bob concentrates his practice in the defense of architects and engineers, construction, medical and oral surgery malpractice claims, and commercial motor vehicle litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York since 1974, as well as in federal courts in Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He has tried over 125 cases to verdict and is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Federal Bar Council, PIAA and Trucking Industry Defense Association. He has a peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell of AV (the highest).

ALLEGHENY COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION

David R. Chludzinski has been re-elected to serve a second three-year term from 2018 to 2021 on the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section Council. He also served on the Council from 2015 to 2018. David is Of Counsel to the firm in our Pittsburgh office. He concentrates his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies and their insurers. David earned his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University. While attending law school, he was a Comments Editor on the International Law Review and he received the C.A.L.I. Award for advanced pre-trial advocacy. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College. David is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. David has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2012 to 2018.

PITTSBURGH

Sarah J. Simkin has joined our Pittsburgh office as an associate. She focuses her practice on commercial motor vehicle matters, civil litigation and insurance defense.

Sarah earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2015 with a concentration in Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school she interned for the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and the Pittsburgh office of the United States Attorney’s Office, and upon graduation she served as a Legal Fellow in the chambers of the Honorable Nora Barry Fischer (U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania). She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012.

Sarah is active in the Allegheny County Bar Association and The Honorable Amy Reynolds Hay American Inn of Court. She serves as a mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.

Sarah is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.  Prior to joining Rawle & Henderson LLP, she was an associate at a national insurance defense firm.

HARRISBURG

Heather A. Printz has joined our Harrisburg office as an associate. She focuses her law practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies and their insurers.

Heather earned her J.D. with a Certificate in Health Law from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2016. While attending law school, she was a legal research intern for the Center for Health and Homeland Security in Baltimore from May to July 2015. She served as a legislative intern for the Office of U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen in Washington, D.C. from January to May 2015. Heather was the Notes and Comments Editor for the law school’s Journal of Health Care Law and Policy. She received the Joseph Bernstein Award for submitting the most significant piece of legal writing for publication in a student-edited journal.

Heather received a B.A. in Psychology from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in 2006. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Bioethics from Albany Medical College’s Alden March Bioethics Institute in the college’s part-time online program.

Heather is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Baltimore City and the Bar Association of Lehigh County. Prior to joining Rawle & Henderson LLP, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Jane Cairns Murray in the Cecil County Circuit Court in Elkton, Maryland.
