Transportation Law Update, Jan. 2016: Luis elected Partner; Chludzinski named Of Counsel

Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to announce that Anthony D. Luis, an attorney in our New York City office, was elected a partner effective January 1, 2016. He concentrates his practice with the defense of clients involving commercial motor vehicle litigation, medical malpractice, oral surgery and dental malpractice, architectural and engineering malpractice, construction litigation, workers’ compensation and commercial litigation. Anthony served as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens as a prosecutor in the Homicide Investigation Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, and the Felony Trial Bureau where he tried numerous cases to verdict including several jury trials.
He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Anthony received his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1999. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and English in 1996 from State University of New York at Geneseo.

David R. Chludzinski, an attorney in our Pittsburgh office, has been named Of Counsel to the Firm. David concentrates his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicles and their insurers.
He earned his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2005. While attending law school, he was a Comments Editor on the International Law Review and he received the C.A.L.I. Award for advanced pre-trial advocacy. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College in 2001.
David is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. He was selected as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” by Super Lawyers and Law & Politics Magazine in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He was elected to a three-year term on the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section Council in June 2015. David is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association.

Jonathan Danko has joined our Harrisburg office as an associate. He concentrates his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies and their insurers.
Jonathan earned his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2012. He earned his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2009. While attending law school, he worked as a summer associate with the Community Justice Project, a non-profit, public interest law firm in Harrisburg that is part of Pennsylvania’s Legal Aid Network. In 2012, Jonathan was awarded a certificate for Practice Oriented Research and Training from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in recognition of his research and analytical skills.
After law school, Jonathan served as a law clerk for the District Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County, where he assisted the 15 Judges of the District Court in writing briefs, memos and opinions; case and statutory research; handling affidavit judgments; and various other matters. He also worked on the District Court Problem Solving Drug Court. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Nigel A. Greene, a partner in our Philadelphia office, sat as a Judge at the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s 13th Annual Mock Trial Tournament, The Quaker Classic Invitational, in November 2015. Students from different schools competed in four rounds of competition, during which their performance was assessed by the scoring judges. The Quaker Classic has grown to become one of the biggest collegiate mock trial tournaments in the country.
Nigel served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia as a prosecutor in the Major Trials Unit, where he successfully tried numerous cases, including jury trials, involving major felonies. Now, Nigel focuses his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies and their insurers, complex commercial litigation and casualty and premises liability matters. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator in Philadelphia County. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
He received his law degree in 1994 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was active in Moot Court competition. He achieved Quarterfinalist status in the Advocacy Competition. Nigel earned his undergraduate degree in 1989 from the Virginia Polytechnic and State University.
Nigel currently serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Commercial Transportation Litigation General Committee.
