John H. McCarthy elected Vice President of West Chester Food Cupboard

Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to announce that partner John H. McCarthy has been elected Vice President of the West Chester Food Cupboard. The mission of the West Chester Food Cupboard is to provide supplemental food assistance to eligible, low income families and individuals in need. The organization is staffed by over 100 volunteers and provides a supply of food on a monthly basis to almost 2,000 area residents. John began volunteering at the Cupboard in April of 2012. He was approached to join the Board of Directors later that year and the recent vote confirmed his status as Vice President of this charity.

John has more than 25 years of litigation experience and focuses his practice on the defense of premises liability and construction accident claims. He serves as regional and local counsel for insured and self-insured clients, including universities, colleges, general contractors, subcontractors, owners, convenience markets and hotels. He is a cum laude graduate of the Villanova University School of Law where he served as an Editor of the Villanova Law Review. He has published numerous articles on developments in premises liability and construction law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. John has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell from 1997 to 2017.
