Bio
Valerie Kellner focuses her practice on product liability and general litigation. She is admitted to practice in federal courts and the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
She received her undergraduate and law degrees from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers Law School, she was awarded Top Ten Oralist at the Hunter Moot Court Competition. Upon graduating law school, Valerie served as a law clerk with the Honorable Rosemary K. Reavey and the Honorable George Nicola in Superior Court of New Jersey in Middlesex County in the civil division.
Valerie is active in the ABA/TIPS (Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section). She is currently a member of the ABA/TIPS CLE Board as well as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee for the ABA/TIPS. She previously served as the Chairperson for the Products Liability Committee. She also served as the Newsletter Editor for the Product Liability Committee.
Valerie was a moderator at the ABA/TIPS Spring Meeting on a panel named Second Responders: Experts from Fire Investigation to Daubert on May 18, 2012 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Valerie was also a presenter at the 14th Annual Personal Injury Potpourri sponsored by the Dispute Resolution Institute on April 17, 2012. She discussed the update in Pennsylvania product liability law, including the current tension between state and federal court regarding Pennsylvania strict liability law.
Valerie was a moderator of a panel discussion regarding Perspectives on Exposures, Responsibility Theories and Culpability Apportionment at the National Conference for Emerging Issues in Premises Liability Litigation sponsored by the American Bar Association in November 2009.
Valerie also serves as a Judge Pro Tem as well as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She is also a member of the Temple Inn of Court.
