Bio
Tom Kuzmick is the Chairman of Rawle & Henderson's Product Liability Department and has been a member of the Firm's Executive Committee since 1994. Mr. Kuzmick's practice concentrates on product liability, catastrophic injury litigation, trucking and construction in state and federal courts, where he has extensive trial experience. He has tried in excess of 50 cases to verdict in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, most of which included damages of seven and eight figures.
In addition, Mr. Kuzmick is regularly called in to defend and try catastrophic injury matters at the last moment. Over his career clients have transferred such files to him as a result of his trial skills, experience and reputation. Mr. Kuzmick has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for nine consecutive years, 2004-2012, an honor reserved for just the top 5% of all lawyers in Pennsylvania. He has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and will be listed in the 2012 edition of Philadelphia's Top Rated Lawyers. Over his career he has also been designated as coordinating counsel in product liability and toxic tort litigation for several clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Kuzmick has lectured both locally and internationally on product liability litigation. His lectures have included presentations to lawyer organizations such as the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He has also put on seminars for trade organizations such as the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers, the Canadian Transportation Equipment Association, the National Truck Equipment Association, the National Association of Fleet Administrators and the Trucking Industry Defense Association. Additionally, he has lectured overseas, including presentations to manufacturers in Taipei, Taiwan.
Mr. Kuzmick is a graduate of Moravian College and received his law degree from Temple University in 1982. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and in the District of Columbia (inactive). He is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. In addition, he is a member of the National Truck Equipment Association, the Canadian Transportation Equipment Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
