Bio

Robert F. Fanning is an associate in the New York City office of Rawle & Henderson LLP. Robert concentrates his practice in the areas of medical professional liability, premises liability and insurance coverage.

Robert earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2016. While in law school, Robert served as an intern for the Hofstra Federal Tax Clinic Practicum from January to May 2016. He was a law clerk with Rawle & Henderson LLP during his second and third years of law school. Robert was a summer intern for the Honorable Tammy Robbins of the Nassau County Supreme Court from May to August 2014. He was a research editor for the American College of Trusts & Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal. Robert received the Linda Carmody-Roberts Endowed Scholarship in Trusts & Estates/Elder Law and the Wilbur H. Hecht Memorial Scholarship in Maritime Law. In addition, Robert served as vice president (2014–2015) and executive board advisor (2015–2016) of the Hofstra Veteran Law Students Association. He participated in the Long Island Real Estate Group’s Real Estate@Work Program in the Fall of 2014.

Robert earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2007 from Elmira College. He was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma–the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. 

After graduating from Elmira College, Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007 and completed the Basic Reconnaissance Course in 2008. In 2010, he deployed to Haiti on a humanitarian mission and the Horn of Africa with 2nd Force Recon, 1st Platoon, in support of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In 2011, he deployed to Afghanistan with 3rd Recon Battalion, Bravo Company, conducting combat operations in the Sangin Valley. In 2012, he was honorably discharged as a sergeant.

He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida.
