Bio
Richard Sexton’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of commercial motor vehicles, premises and product liability, employment and insurance coverage law. He has substantial trial experience in complex personal injury, commercial litigation and general defense matters. In recognition of his experience in litigation, he was selected to serve as a court-appointed arbitrator by the New Jersey Superior Court. He has also written and lectured on a wide variety of topics including a recent seminar presentation entitled New Jersey Auto Insurance PIP Law.
Mr. Sexton graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in 1981 and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law in 1990. He has 24 yeas of combined service in the United States Navy including active and reserve duty, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his active duty, he served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise for four years.
He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as The United States District Courts for the State of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
