Melissa K. Kaufman is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Rawle & Henderson LLP. She focuses her law practice in the areas of casualty & premises liability, product liability and commercial motor vehicle matters.
Melissa earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2006. While attending law school, she completed four full-time internships with: the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, the Honorable James T. Giles in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Securities and Exchange Commission and a civil defense law firm in Philadelphia. In addition, she participated in Northeastern's Prisoners' Rights Clinic.
She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with distinction, from the Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 2003. During her studies at Emory University, Melissa served as a Teaching & Research Assistant for Statistics & Intermediate Accounting from 2001 to 2003. She also participated in the Study Abroad program in Salamanca and Santander, Spain, in the Summer of 2001.
Melissa joins Rawle & Henderson with 10 years of legal experience, handling all stages of litigation from inception through completion, including appearances at depositions, arbitrations, settlement and pre-trial conferences, expert depositions and trials to verdict.
Melissa is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (2006) and New Jersey (2006).
