Bio

Katelyn R. Waegener is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Rawle & Henderson LLP. She concentrates her law practice in the areas of casualty & premises liability, product liability, commercial motor vehicle companies, insurance coverage, workers' compensation and employment relations.

Katelyn earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 2016. She was on the Dean’s List in the Spring 2014 and Fall 2015 semesters. She served on the Editorial Board and as a Staff Editor on the Rutgers University Law Review. Katelyn served as a certified legal intern for the Rutgers Law School Children’s Justice Clinic, where she was allowed to assume the role of an attorney in order to represent New Jersey children facing delinquency charges, primarily in Camden’s juvenile court. She placed first at the regional competition of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Team and qualified for nationals. In addition, she served as a teaching assistant for Professor John C. Lore III, and assisted with Trial Advocacy and Professional Responsibility classes.

While attending law school, Katelyn also served as an intern for the Honorable Joseph E. Irenas (deceased) in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey from January to May 2015. She was an intern for the Honorable Sherry R. Fallon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware from August to December 2014. She was an intern for the Honorable Thomas M. Blewitt (retired) in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania from May to August 2014.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University in 2011. She was on the Dean's List. Katelyn was a member of Shippensburg's Women's Rugby Team from 2007 to 2011 and also served as the team's treasurer.

Katelyn is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
