John C. Janos has practiced as a civil trial lawyer for over 30 years in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, and Environmental, Toxic and Mass Torts in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Mr. Janos began his law career as staff counsel for a large casualty insurance company defending both civil cases and workers’ compensation matters throughout the eastern half of the Commonwealth. He thereafter practiced with a medium size law firm representing self-insureds and insurance companies in toxic tort litigation and civil liability litigation. He began to concentrate his practice in the representation of self-insureds and governmental agencies in workers’ compensation matters. He has handled hundreds of personal injury defense cases and thousands of workers’ compensation cases. He has argued in the Commonwealth Court and the PA Supreme Court and has lectured on workers’ compensation issues. He has been awarded an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Janos received his law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1974 following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1970. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brown University.
He is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Association.
