Pharmaceutical Practice Group

As a sub-group within the Product Liability Section, the attorneys in the Pharmaceutical Practice Group draw upon a wealth of experience in defending manufacturers, distributors and retailers of pharmaceutical products throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Rawle & Henderson attorneys have successfully defended manufacturers and sellers of many different drugs and pharmaceuticals such as DES, PPA, Bendectin, Indocin, Premarin, Ephedra/Ephedrine, Metabolize, Vioxx/Bextra/Celebrex and BCG, just to name a few.

Additionally, some of the Firm's attorneys have served as national and/or regional counsel in the defense of DES litigation, the early stages of the L-Tryptophan litigation and, currently, as national coordinating counsel in the PPA litigation. Our attorneys have represented some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in this highly sensitive litigation. In doing so, we recognize the need to partner with our clients in the defense of such matters, as well as having our attorneys become well versed and educated in our client's pharmaceutical products and business.

Further, our attorneys have experience in working with clients in generic drug matters, including patent infringement claims. We also have worked with clients in FDA approval related matters. Our staff in this Practice Group include experienced trial lawyers, nurse-attorneys and paralegals who work together as part of a team with our client's in-house medical, research and technical personnel.
