On September 25 and 26, 2006, the Firm’s hiring partner, John H. McCarthy, attended the Second National Forum on Law Firm Diversity in San Francisco, California. The attendees at the conference included general counsel from Del Monte, Lucent, Reuters, DuPont and PepsiCo in addition to representatives of law school admissions’ offices and chief diversity officers from a multitude of national law firms. The focus of the conference was the development and implementation of a diversity structure after defining your firm’s goals. Reflecting this commitment, it should be noted that in 2004 Rawle was ranked 2nd in the state for percentage of minority attorneys and 3rd for percentage of female attorneys among the 100 largest Pennsylvania firms
